Mark D. Grant is a founding partner of Kuhl & Grant LLP.  Mark’s practice concentration is in real estate law focusing on development, purchases and sales, financing, leasing, construction and affordable housing.  Within the practice of real estate law, Mark spends considerable time on projects utilizing Low-Income Housing Tax Credits and Historic Rehabilitation Tax Credits, as well as other development and operating subsidies and financing methods.  Mark is often involved with negotiating project agreements with municipalities, mixed-finance concerns with public housing authorities and financing documents with federal, state and local governmental agencies.  He represents residential and commercial developers, owners and tenants (whether private, governmental or non-profit) in all aspects of real estate development and financing, including leasing.  He also represents nonprofit and for profit entities in connection with construction-related activities.

Mark speaks on various real estate, construction and affordable housing topics.  Mark is a member of the Indiana and Illinois State Bar Associations.  He currently serves as President of the board of the East 10th Street Civic Association, is the Secretary of the board of King Park Area CDC (and executive committee member) and is a member of the Streets and Parking committee of the Indy Rezone project.

Mark is a native of Carmel, Indiana, and received his Bachelor of Science in chemical engineering at Purdue University in 1981.  He graduated from the University of Houston Law Center in 1984.  Before founding Kuhl & Grant LLP in 2010, Mark was a partner with Ice Miller LLP where he practiced real estate law for 19 years.  He also previously practiced real estate law in Houston, Texas.  Mark is admitted to practice law in the States of Indiana and Illinois.
